What is Vermicompost

#Vermicompost is the product of composting by earthworms, Vermicompost is also known as vermicast, worm castings, worm humus and worm manure. How to construct Vermicompost Bag

To construct your low cost vermicomposting bag at home to make vermicompost i.e. organic manure at your home by yourself using some agricultural waste, cow, buffalo or other animal waste, 500 gsm polythene sheet of black color, pigeon or cricket net, two fit pipe,earthworms etc. Using all this sort of material and needs you create an vermicomposting bag which gives you vermicompost at regular intervals to use in agricultural fields, farms, gardens, and you may also shell it to get some extra income. you may create 11x3x2.5 fit vermicompost bag in just Rs 600 only by using this method of making vermicompost bag.

 just take 30 fit long and 2.5 fit wide pigeon or cricket net and 11x3x2.5 fit 500gsm polythene sheet of black color, 12 woods or bamboo of 3.5 fit length and also take 2 inch pipe of 2 fit length. fix woods and bamboo and then fix net then plastic sheet then fix pipe. 

Filling of Vermicompost Bag

Fill vermicompost bag with cow, buffalo dung, vegetable waste, agricultural waste, green waste. but do not add poisonous plant waste. more preferably use  cow, buffalo dung.

Inoculation of Earthworms on Cow dung to make Vermicompost

Now leave Earthworms on organic matter ( dung, vegetable waste etc.) present in vermicompost bag so they can start their work of vermicomposting.  

Daily spray water on vermicompost bed to insure required humidity inside bed. temperature should be between 15-27 degree Celsius.
